We truly can do more together than we could ever hope to do alone.
Rotary International President Ian Riseley has made the case that Rotary’s goal of sustainable service can be accomplished, in part, by protecting the environment. He has challenged every Rotary club to make a difference by planting one tree for each member before Earth Day 2018.
The Rotary Club of Dupont Circle planted trees with Casey Trees of Washington, D.C. on Saturday, December 2. Casey Trees was established in 2001 to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of Washington, D.C. The group of volunteers on December 2 planted 51 trees! Our club, along with the other volunteers at Saturday’s event, could not have made such a difference without the expert guidance of the Casey Trees crew. We truly can do more together than we could ever hope to do alone.
